Breakfast Scone/ Biscuits

Ingredients:-
All purpose Flour -2 1/2 cups
Baking Powder – 2 1/2 tsp
salt- 1/2 tsp
Sugar- 1 tsp(optional)
Large Egg- 1
Butter – 1/2 cup cold unsalted
Milk – 3/4 cup
Topping:-
1 Egg beaten with little water or milk.
Method:-
Preheat the oven to 400 degree F.
Sift Flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Once it is done add butter into pieces and crumble in it, then add milk and lightly beaten egg which form a sticky dough. Dust the working surface with flour and roll the dough 1/2 inch thickness and cut into circle shape using round cookie cutter.
Place the dough into greased pan and brush with egg and water mixture and bake for 10 mins or until the top becomes golden brown.
Serve warm with butter or Jam.
Variations:-
You can add zest of a orange for orange flavor or lemon zest for lemon favor.
