Lemon Rice

Rice is the main food for lunch in most of our families. We add more flavors to rice to taste good. So here comes the recipe for Lemon Rice



Basmati Rice – 1 cup

Water – 2 cups

Salt – to taste


Lemon – 1 (squeeze out the water)

Channa dal – 1 tsp

Urad dal – 1 tsp

Mustard seeds – 1 tsp

Cashew – 4

Ground nut – 3 Tsp

Curry leaves – 1-2 springs

Red chili – 3

Green chili – 3

Small onion – 2

Turmeric – ½ tsp



Cook the rice separately and keep aside. In a pan heat oil and once it is heated up add the seasoning items except lemon water and salt.


Once it is done add the lemon juice and salt and fry for 2 mins. Then switch off the stove and add cooked rice to the mixture and mix it well.
