Potato gravy (Poori kilangu)

This recipe is most famous recipe in everyone’s house for poori.

Ingredients:-

Potato – 3

Green chili – 3

Tomato – 1

Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Fried gram dal powder – ¼ cup

Water – depends on gravy you need

Salt – to taste

Channa dal – ½ tsp

Urad dal – ½ tsp

Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

Method:-

Cook the potato and mash it well and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan and once it is heated up add channa dal, urad dal and mustard seeds, allow mustard seeds to splutter and add onion, green chili, salt and sauté for few minutes. Then add tomato and sauté till it becomes soft.

Once it is done add fried gram dal and add enough water to make gravy.

Allow this mixture to boil and add mashed potato and mix it well. Let this mixture cook for 2-5 minutes and serve hot.

Note:-

Don’t add too much water to the gravy.
