Curd Rice / Thayir Satham

Cooked Rice – 1 cup

Curd – 1 cup (well beaten)

Milk or water – 3 tsp

Salt – to taste

Shredded carrot – to garnish

Small Onion – 10

Channa dal – ½ tsp

Urad dal – ½ tsp

Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

Curry leaves – 2 springs

Oil – ½ tsp



Heat oil in a pan and once it is heated up add channa dal, urad dal and mustard seeds. Allow it to splutter and add onion, curry leaves and cook for few minutes. Add these mixtures to the rice and then add curd, salt and milk, mix this mixture and if you need you can add little milk or water more. Once everything is mixed well finally garnish it with shredded carrot.

Note:- You can add fresh grapes, cashew nuts.
