Mustard rice – 1 tsp

Peanut – a handful

Red chilies – 10

Soak the tamarind in a hot water for 5 mins and squeeze out the water and keep aside. Cook the rice and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan and once it is heated up add channa dal, urad dal and mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter and add red chilies and fry for 2 minutes and then add peanut and fry for few minutes. Once it is done add onion and fry till it turns translucent. Then add garlic, turmeric powder and fry for few minutes and then

add tamarind water, salt. Allow the tamarind juice to boil and comes to thick, finally add fenugreek powder and mix this mixture to the cooked rice and mix it well.

Note: – You can add curry leaves. Allow the tamarind juice to a thick consistency or else it won’t give you the taste.
