Posted by Geetha on January 17, 2009

Onion rings

Onion – 1

Rice flour – ¼ cup

Paprika – 1 tsp (to taste)

Salt – to taste

Baking powder – ½ tsp

Bread crumbs – 4 tsp

Oil – to fry

Cut the onion into round shape (1/4 ‘inch thick) and keep aside. Mix rice flour, paprika. Baking powder, salt in a mixing bowl and add water and make a smooth batter (batter should not be too thick or too watery).

Dip an onion into batter and coat them into bread crumbs and fry it in hot oil. Once it turns into golden brown remove from heat and Onion ringsplace it in a paper towel and serve hot with sauce.

Note: – If you don’t like adding bread crumbs you can totally avoid it and fry without it.

Instead of paprika you can add chili powder.
