Salt – to taste
Garlic – 4 cloves (minced)
Ginger – 1 tsp (minced)

Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/4 tsp
Yogurt/Curd – 1/2 cup
Water – 3.5 cups
Coriander Leaves – for garnish

To make the gravy:  Heat Oil in a pan and once it is heated up add onion and fry till it turns into translucent and then add ginger, garlic and green chilies. Once it is done ad tomatoes puree and fry till oil separates from the mixture. Add turmeric powder, cumin, coriander, garam masala and mix it to the mixture and add the well beaten yogurt and allow this mixture to cook for 2 minutes and then ad water, salt and allow these mixtures to come to a boil (cover with a lid).

Mean while we can prepare koftas:

To make Koftas:  squeeze out excess water from the bottle gourd and keep it in a mixing bowl. Add gram flour (if you need you can add more flour to make balls), add onion, coriander leaves, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Mix all these ingredients and make a small ball and keep aside.

Once the gravy starts to boil add these koftas and pour some gravy on top of it. Cover with a lid and allow the koftas to cook. Turn over the koftas in between and cook. Finally garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with chappathi, rice.

Note: – You can fry these koftas and also cook them. Allow the mixture (gravy) to boil nice and then add koftas.
