Coriander leaves – to garnish

Wash the dal and cook in a pressure cooker for 4 whistles and keep aside. Heat ghee in a pan and add urad dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Allow it to splutter and add onion, green chili and fry till it turns into translucent and then add tomato, turmeric powder and cook till it becomes soft. Add water (if needed you can add more water, depends on how thick you need your gravy) and cover the vessel and cook till the mixture comes to boil.
